Teaching

“Tell me, and I will forget. Show me, and I may remember. Involve me, and I will understand.”

I have taught Social Network Analysis (SNA) to undergraduates, graduates, and executives, doctoral students, faculty, and professionals. I taught Social Network Analysis in Business (MGT 6493, Vanderbilt University) at the graduate and executive MBA level.

I also have been involved in teaching workshops on SNA. I co-led A Hands-on Introduction to Analyzing Social Networks with UCINET & Netdraw at the Sunbelt International Network for SNA Conference. As a research fellow at the LINKS Center for SNA, I served as a teaching assistant for four separate week-long SNA workshops in which I helped teach the following topics: Stochastic Models–Exponential Random Graph Models (ERGMS) and RSiena (longitudinal network analysis), Analyzing Network Data, Introduction to Social Network Analysis, Networks and Leadership, and Networks in Healthcare.

I teach OBHR Research Methods at the doctoral level (OBHR 605, Purdue University) and Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate level (OBHR 330, Purdue University). I have also taught Contemporary Organizational Leadership at the undergraduate level (MGMT 464, Portland State University) and Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate level (MGMT 410, University of Kentucky). I really enjoy teaching in the classroom, online, and hybrid courses.
